As Noiseberg enters its tenth year and becomes N10SEBERG, the project will expand its impact as a vital hub for the experimental music community—one that fosters diversity, inclusivity, representation, and innovation in sound art.
With improved documentation quality and communication, N10SEBERG will work to increase the connection between musicians spanning many genres and countries, and support them in growing their audience.
With your support, the project commits to offering everyone involved, musicians and organisers, a fair remuneration, while continuing to offer free concerts to its audience. In doing so, it hopes to make the contemporary scene more sustainable, accessible to all regardless of age, budget, or identity.

NOISEBERG 2015 — 2024
Since 2015, Noiseberg promotes experimental and improvised contemporary music from around the globe, functioning as non-profit with a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and eclecticism. Along the years it has become a meeting point of the local and international music scene, and a valued place for musicians to present new projects and collaborations.  They are also a place for exchange between artists and audiences, with intentional eclecticism providing exposure to a variety of genres that seldom coexist.
Noiseberg also constitutes an archive of the contemporary music scene, with each performance being recorded and published in our online archive.
Diversity & inclusion as core values
In order to make contemporary music inclusive and accessible, Noiseberg ensures continued support and visibility for artists from various backgrounds, particularly FLINTA* and BIPOC musicians, who now represent a majority of performers. This commitment ensures a more inclusive music landscape, amplifying voices often marginalised in the mainstream industry.
The project's commitment to inclusive practices also manifests in its door policy: entry is free, donations for musicians are encouraged but not mandatory. This makes contemporary music accessible, and demystifies practices that might otherwise seem elitist.
Finally, the sessions' Sunday afternoon timing offers visitors the opportunity to attend with children—as long as they wear appropriate ear protection.
A growing & professionalising archive
Noiseberg seeks to enhance the quality and reach of performance documentation to boost artists' profiles and preserve the rich cultural tapestry of experimental music.
The current archive has already proved invaluable for many musicians in furthering their careers, and its quality has dramatically improved since the start of our collaboration with videomaker Bruitalismes, who began filming concerts on the studio stage in 2023.
FUNDING Can Make A Difference
The project has functioned for the last ten years without funding, thanks to musicians accepting symbolic fees and remuneration in kind—such as video documentation, accommodation, and meals—as a token of their appreciation for a project they feel is valuable beyond financial aspects. With Noiseberg entering its tenth year, securing fair compensation for artists and the organising team is crucial. Funding the project will help recognise and value their contributions, ensuring the sustainability of the concert series.
N10SEBERG — The new noiseberg
As Noiseberg enters its tenth year and becomes N10SEBERG, the project will expand its impact while continuing to be a vital hub for the experimental music community, fostering diversity, inclusivity, and innovation in sound art.
Concerts organised between September 2024 and June 2025 will be professionally documented, formalising the ongoing collaboration with Bruitalismes and adding documentary filmmaker Yann les Jours, who will film the main stage, to the team. Guest photographers will document the sessions, producing quality shots for artists' communication needs and a printed publication for Noiseberg’s tenth anniversary.
Funding will also help improve the project's communication, which will no longer focus solely on announcing upcoming events; it will also share documentation after each event, follow artists after their performance and relay their news, ensuring continued reach and engagement. In this sense, N10SEBERG will become a hybrid project, halfway between a venue for contemporary music and a distribution label.
And again, funding will help fairly compensate both visiting artists and the team members who have volunteered their time and energy for nine years, ensuring they can continue their essential work and thus consolidating the project.
